NPTLOK Needle valve size range is from 1/8”-1”(3mm-25.4mm), which is available in a wide range of ports including male/female threads, tube ends, butt/socket weld, and flange. The threads could be NPT, BSPP, or Metric. The application is used to control the flow rates.
NPTLOK needle valve pressure is from 3,000psi to 10,000psi according to application requirements in systems. For the temperature, PTFE packing is for normal temperature requirements from -54℃ to 232℃. Graphite packing is for high-temperature requirements from -240℃to 469℃
NPTLOK needle valve types are double ferrule needle valve, male/female thread needle valve, flange needle valve, butt/socket weld needle valve, and block bleed needle valve.

Needle Valve Materials
NPTLOK needle valve materials are available in stainless steel, brass, or special materials according to application requirements.
For chemical resistance, the most common needle valve materials are stainless steel and brass. For special applications, special materials are required, for example, Monel, Alloy, and so on.

Stainless steel material can resist high pressure and high temperature and is very durable in corrosive liquids. So stainless steel needle valve can have chemical resistance to the media.

Brass MaterialBrass material is suitable for non-corrosive water, especially for drinking water. It is not used for seawater. The brass needle valve is used in gas piping, drinking water, and hydraulic systems.

Special MaterialIf special applications including seawater, hydrofluoric acid, strong alkali medium, reducing acids, and HF Acid plants are required, special materials like Monel and Titanium should be used here.

Needle Valve Packing
PTFE or Graphite is available in needle valve packing upon the operating temperatures. PTFE is used in the needle valve for normal temperature requirements. Its operating temperature is from -429℉ to 400℉.
If the operating environment requires a higher temperature, Graphite is ideal for the needle valve packing. Its operating temperature is from -400℉ to 875℉.
The cost of Graphite packing is higher than PTFE packing.
