5 Way manifold valve has consisted of two block/isolation valves, two equalizing valves, and one vent valve, which is used to connect differential pressure transmitters in hazardous fluid systems or natural gas services. If block valves are open, the equalizing valves will not be allowed open, which will lead to fluid transferring from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side.

5 Way Manifold Valve Operation
In normal operation, the blocked/isolated valves are open, in the meantime, the vent valve and equalizing valve should be closed. It is very important that the equalizing valves are not allowed to open when both block valves are open. Because if the fluid is very hot or radioactive, the equalizing valves and block valves are open at the same time, which will lead the fluid to reach the manifold and transmitter, causing damage to a person.
If you want to zero the instrument, the first step is to close the downstream block valve and 2 vent valves, then open the equalizing valves. Set the zero on the instrument
If you want to remove the instrument, first close the block valves, and open the equalizing valve to remove the instrument.

If you require a normal temperature 5 way manifold valve, PTFE packing is enough for you to use. The PTFE packing temperature rating is from -73°C to 210°C (99°F / +410°F)
